This rice pudding is combined with sugar, egg, milk, and flavored with vanilla and butter. This is a great quick stovetop rice pudding.
Ingredients
- 2 cups of divided milk
- 1 ½ cups of cooked rice
- ¼ teaspoon of salt
- 1 beaten egg
- 2/3 cups of golden raisins
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 1/3 cups of white sugar
- ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
Directions
- Combine 1 ½ cups of milk, cooked rice, and salt in the saucepan and cook on medium heat, cook for 20 minutes and stir occasionally, until creamy and thick. Now add remaining ½ cups of milk, beaten egg, white sugar, and golden raisins into rice mixture, occasionally stir. Continue to cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the eggs set. Now remove the pan from the heat, stir in vanilla extract and butter into the pudding. It’s ready to serve.
